Vol. 11 No. 29 (2023): Platform capitalism in Latin American context: work reconfigurations and precariousness

Bearing in mind the importance of themes relating to “digital work”, “platformized work” and discussions about the future of work and the dismantling of the “wage society”, this dossier brings together studies from Latin American countries that allow us to understand the extent and diffusion of the digital work platform market, the types of work that are spreading from such platforms, the justifications presented socially by workers who start to work in these activities, their working conditions and income and forms of subordination to companies -platforms; the forms of action and organization that have been undertaken with a view to inaugurating a cycle of gaining rights.
