Vol. 11 No. 28 (2023): Socio-spatial (i)mobilities and their infrastructures

The socio-spatial mobility of people and artefacts, images and information depends on material or human infrastructures that enable the realisation and continuity of moving actions. However, there is still little research into the intersections between flows and fixes, circulations and their supports. This dossier presents contributions that explore processes of production and use of support structures related to mobility, understood here as the interweaving of movement, representations and practices, made possible by connected material infrastructures. It is therefore a question of bringing into dialogue the epistemic contributions of two "turns" that have been animating contemporary social theory: the mobilities turn and the infrastructural turn.
