José Luis Coraggio, an Argentinian economist, Professor Emeritus at the National University of General Sarmiento of Argentina, of which he was rector (1998-2002) and is now academic director of the Master's in Social Economy, has extensive experience as a researcher, university professor and as a consultant for governments and NGOs in the areas of economics and regional and urban planning, research methodologies, planning and analysis of social policies and social and solidarity economy, having worked in different countries such as Argentina, Ecuador, Mexico and Nicaragua. Founder and co-coordinator of the Latin American Network of Researchers in Social and Solidarity Economy (RILESS). In this interview, he discusses theoretical and empirical aspects of the social and solidarity economy and the different approaches and perspectives that exist on the popular economy.
