Fluxo de operações do crime organizado: questões conceituais e metodológicas | Flow of Organized Crime Operations: Conceptual and Methodological Issues

O artigo trata de questões conceituais e metodológicas relacionadas à abordagem sociológica do crime organizado. Seus principais argumentos baseiam-se em pesquisa cujo objeto trata de reconstruir o fluxo de operações que mobiliza o tráfico internacional de drogas ilícitas na América Latina, desde o início da cadeia produtiva nos países andinos até o mercado consumidor brasileiro e internacional. Suas fontes de informação compreendem fundamentalmente documentos e relatórios de organizações governamentais e não-governamentais, além de dados sobre apreensões de drogas. O artigo pretende chamar a atenção para problemas relacionados à aplicação de conceitos e ao emprego de fontes documentais que podem restringir o alcance de resultados.
