CALL FOR MANUSCRIPT SUBMISSIONS TO THE DOSSIER INTELLECTUAL CIRCULATION BETWEEN FRANCE AND BRAZIL: CASE STUDIES
Synopsis
The objective of this dossier is to bring together empirical research that deals with intellectual circulation between France and Brazil in the social and human sciences. The aim is, through specific case studies, to explore the dynamics of circulation, the asymmetries of power and the ways such transits are given new meanings in their respective national contexts.
There has been a constant circulation of French researchers, publications and theories in Brazil and of Brazilian researchers in France and each national field deals with this fact in a specific way. It is part of the interests of the dossier to understand the sociological bases on which this circulation takes place based on analyzes of concrete cases.

Submissions to the dossier must be sent through RBS webpage (https://rbs.sbsociologia.com.br/) for the “Dossiê Circulação intelectual entre França e Brasil” section, by February 20, 2025, and shall comply with the Guidelines for Authors.
Manuscripts submitted to the dossier will go through four review stages. The first, carried out by the journal's editorial team, will assess the manuscript's conformity to the Guidelines for authors. In case of non-compliance, the authors will be informed and the submission will be archived. The second stage will be carried out by the organizers of the dossier in collaboration with RBS editors, who will assess the relevance of the manuscript to the dossier program. In case of non-adequacy, an editorial review will be prepared and sent to the authors and the submission will be refused. The third stage will consist of double-blind peer review of manuscripts approved in the previous stages. Manuscripts with negative reviews will be rejected. Those with a recommendation for revisions may be rejected at the discretion of the dossier’s organizers or have a revision requested and may then compose the list for final selection. Submissions with reviews for acceptance will be part of the final selection of manuscripts to be chosen for the dossier.
Among those submissions approved for the final stage, two will be selected to integrate the dossier. The remaining ones, at the discretion of RBS editors, may be considered for publication in other editions of the journal, in the regular submissions section, if the authors so desire.
