The article presents an original conceptual-methodological framework for interpretive-critical analysis called critical narrative analysis (CNA) from a sociological perspective. This proposal is based on empirical studies using the frameworks of critical knowledge sociology. Sociological CNA is structured in three analytical stages. The methodological strategy presented allows for a robust analysis of the ideological-political dimension of sociopolitical phenomena in times of social and climate catastrophes. Its application is demonstrated in an empirical example. The originality of the proposal lies in the structuring of a more comprehensive CNA method that is appropriate for contemporary issues, in particular the climate issue that affects everyone, humans and non-humans alike, but in unequal ways. This proposal has an interdisciplinary approach and can be mobilized by other disciplinary fields.
